The weekend definitely went by way too fast! Friday I had plans to go see my Grandpa Bill in Odon; however, due to the weather forecast I had to cancel. So instead, I opened the windows and did a good cleaning on the house. By the time I was finished, it was lunch time. I thought I had plenty of time to run to Subway and the bank and be back home before the storm hit. Wrong! All was well until I was in line at Subway. Next thing I knew it was raining so hard and hailing. As I ran out to my truck clutching my big 'ol belly and sandwich, the rain was just drenching me! My hair was dripping wet, and my clothes were soaked- I could have wrung them out! I did not want to sit in the parking lot and wait it out, especially since there were tornado warnings. So I hurried home and made it safe and sound. As I was sitting at the bar watching the news and enjoying my Subway sandwich, I noticed the weather outside was becoming worse. The rain and hail had stopped for the time being, but the sky was going crazy. I never heard any warnings for people in McCutchanville to take cover, so Lola and I stood at the back sliding door and watched the clouds. I noticed to the east of my house there was a funky looking cloud that V-ed down. During this time I was texting my friend Keely who lives the next subdivision over. I was in the process of taking a pic of the funky clouds and sending it to her, but she beat me to it and sent one of the same cloud to me. We found out later that funky V cloud was the tornado that touched down less than 10 miles from our houses. CRAZY! I spent the next two hours watching the news and hearing of all the many tornados that touched down in southern Indiana that day. Really thinking and praying for those who were affected. The story of the little girl who was found in field alive, yet her family was dead broke my heart. Today I heard she passed away :( The weather this year has been so unpredictable.
Thank goodness Saturday was calm. The temperature sure dropped some, but overall it was a good day. Clint's dad, stepmom, and grandma Carolyn came down for a visit. It was so good to see them all again. Tim got to see what room he is going to help Clint paint for the nursery. I cannot wait to put the baby's room together! I plan on ordering the bedding this week. Oh and speaking of, little man will have a western/cowboy themed room-- Yee Haw! :)
Today my sister, brother-n-law, and nephew Ethan came down. Cliff stayed at the house with Clint to help out with some things, while Nancy, Ethan, and I went to the movies to watch Dr. Suess' Lorax. Very good movie! Ethan really enjoyed it too.
I am almost to the 6 month mark in this pregnancy! Woo hoo! He sure kicks and dances a lot. I noticed when I get hungry, he does too and lets me know by river dancing inside of my tummy :) I do not eat any more than what I did pre-preggo because there is not enough room! I get full sooo easy now, yet I will still be hungry. If I force that extra couple bites down, I am so miserable. I am hoping the summer heat is kind to me this year. I am just thankful I do not have to go through the entire summer being pregnant. I keep saying I will have a July 4th baby. I do not know why, I just can see it happening.
I am hoping the work week flies by. This upcoming weekend Clint and I start baby classes at Women's Hospital. I am sure we will learn a lot! We registered at Babies-R-Us last Sunday. Very overwhelming!! I knew babies required a lot of things, but the reality of it hit us when we were there registering! Unfortunately, there is a glich in the system. If you go into the store and print out registry, it is accurate. If you look online, everything is correct except for the clothes. It shows we registered for girl clothing. I went into the store and had it fixed. Did not work. Talked to manager a few times over the phone, still not fixed. Come to find out it is an issue that corporate is having, and they are trying to get their IT guys to straighten it out. Apparently it has been an ongoing problem since the beginning of February, and I am one of many who have been affected. I am hoping they get it fixed by the time my baby shower rolls around!
Well my belly is full of tator tot casserole, and it is my bed time. Have a good evening! :)

Gettin' excited!
So things are really starting to come together for little baby Ramsey. Tonight I met with the owner of the daycare he will be attending- LOVE Miss Jackie!! She was so sweet, and I feel so relaxed knowing my little guy will be under her care when I go back to work. Also, baby boy has a pediatrician lined up. Yay! Now, Clint and I must decide on nursery theme. I am loving the western theme (imagine that), and Clint likes IU. However, I have googled and browsed the net and have been unsuccessful on finding IU baby bedding. So who knows what we will decide on. Maybe we can combine the sports theme/cowboy theme. My father-n-law said he wants to come down and help Clint paint the nursery. The guest bedroom is a bright purple right now, so definitely need to "boy it up" :) One thing that I realized it is time for Clint and I do to is register for baby stuff!!! And just think a year ago around this time we were registering for wedding stuff. Time flies!
I had a doctor appoint. on Tuesday. Clint was unable to take of work for it, so I took my grandma Norma (Meme) with me. She saw her very first ultrasound! And it was confirmed the baby is a boy, which we already assumed. They moved my due date up a few days because baby boy is measuring long- imagine that! Look at how tall Clint is! The baby weighs 11 oz. right now and is doing great. My dr was happy because this time I had NO sugar in my urine and I lost a pound. I had to redirect my eating habits, and start eating like I did pre preggo. I still have my dessert though. No one can keep this momma away from sugar! :)
I went to Odon yesterday to see my Grandpa Bill, and everytime I travel back home it makes me realize how much I miss living in a small town. I cannot wait till the baby is here, then we can start planning our re-locating. We are discussing maybe building, but will get more serious about everything once the time nears. With I-69 I am hoping I can continue to work at Deaconess, but time will tell.
This warm weather makes me think that mushroom hunting season is getting closer! Did not get to go last year, and I am hoping I can waddle in the woods this year. That is something I remember doing with family when I was really young. They are soooo good fried, but I have never been able to fix them like my mom did. Why is it mom's do things better? However, I have mastered my mom's taco salad!!
Happy Thursday!

Monday Funday
One thing that I love about having a blog is that I can say what I want and not care. If you do not like it, well then you do not have to read it. Some people know that I have a hard time keeping a filter on my mouth. Pregnancy makes it harder. I have to hold myself back from word vomiting. I am not one to keep things within, I like to get them out!
I do not know why it has happened now, but being pregnant has made me sit back and notice the true colors of people. Some of those colors are not so bright and happy. I know as we grow older, we may grow apart from others in our lives. I have seriously learned who the "true" people are in my life. I will leave it at that...
Another thing I have noticed is there are a lot of Debbie Downers out there. It drives me bonkers on how some people have something wrong with them everyday. STOP IT! I really wish some would realized how blessed they are. I think of the homeless people I see I around Evansville, the stories on the news of those who had unfortunate things happen to them, or even the patients at work who I know could use extra help. I may wake up with pains in my hips, lower back, a headache, or the blahs...but you know what? I still at night thank God for the blessings I do have. Those minor aches and pains are not the end of the world. I have a roof over my head, heat, a vehicle, a good job, amazing husband, clothes on my back....and the list goes on.
On a different note, my weekend was great! My youngest nephew Oliver turned one, and we all celebreated on Saturday. After that Clint and I drove into Odon to see my Grandpa Bill- his birthday was on Sunday. I love my visits with Grandpa, especially when Clint gets to go too. There is always lots of laughter! :) On Sunday I woke up in a major cleaning mode. It definitely wore me out, but made me happy to have it done. My bestie Kylie was home for the weekend so on Sunday evening I met with her and Holly for dinner- always a good time when Kylie is telling her stories!!! LOL She and Holly call my baby Maximus Skip Ramsey. That is not his name, and I swear to you when I say he does not have an official name yet. We have options, but will decide once we see his cute little face. Speaking of the little man, he has definitely become mobile! I have felt him a couple times. I think he is working on his line dancing and 2 step skills....ha! Still looking for the perfect pair of cowboy boots for him ;)
This weekend will be another busy one, but not complaining because I know it will be a good time! I am anxiously waiting for Tuesday when I get to have another ultrasound. If Clint cannot leave work I am taking my grandma Norma aka "Meme" because she has never seen one, and I would love for her to experience it! I am also hoping to find out I passed on having better results with my sugar intake. I got in trouble last time, because my levels were very high. I love sweets, and even did before I was pregnant! So it has been tough...some days I have no sweets...others I kinda give in...just a little...lol

boy oh BOY!
Well, it looks like this summer Clint and I will be welcoming a baby BOY to our family!! I cannot wait to meet our little fella! :) I really did think I was having a girl- and no, I am not basing that on all the old wives tale tests I did. However, I am completely happy with a boy :) My dad still think the baby is a girl. He said he needs one more ultrasound to prove that. LOL
Pregnancy has really messed with my brain! That whole "preggo brain" thing is true. Example: over the weekend I went to take a shower, and still had my bra on. Did not realize it until the water hit me. Also, one day last week I almost left for work wearing my house slippers. I sometimes wear them as I get ready, and normally am good at changing out of them. So I almost showed up at Deaconess wearing purple fuzzy slippers :) Another thing that I notice- THE HORMONES! The way I describe it is, one minute I could judo-kick someone in their face. An hour later, I might ask them out for ice-cream. It makes me feel c-r-a-z-y!!!
Clint is traveling for work this week, so I figured this was perfect timing to get caught up on my blog. I have work to keep me busy this week, and a couple dinner dates with some gal pals I have not seen in a long time. So hopefully the week will fly by.
Our weekend went great- got to relax, had my usual chats with Grandpa Bill, bought the baby a few outfits, and got to eat with Clint's mom on Saturday.
Last, my precious Big Red is for sale. I love my truck, but we need vehicle that is more suitable for hauling a baby around. So if anyone knows of anyone looking for a truck- send them my way, and I will give them more info!

I got behind again...
I was really trying to be good at keeping up with my blog. Then I would see on facebook, people posting links to theirs, and I realized oops! I was behind again.
So to play catch up. Hmm, okay I will start with the holidays. A very busy weekend! We traveled to Daviess County on both Saturday and Sunday. One day having 2 stops, the next 3! Needless to say, I was very tired after the traveling and busy days. It was so good to see both my family and Clint's, but it was also sooo good to be at home relaxing!
It is so crazy to think that it is already 2012!! The year I turn 30- which I am not the type of person who dreads that and cries. I am just shocked that my twenties are coming to an end! But the best thing about this year? Meeting our precious baby that will enter the world this summer. Words cannot express how excited we are!
Speaking about our baby, In 2 weeks we will FINALLY know the gender! Our parents/grandparents/siblings will be the first to know. Then we will make it public. I told Clint as soon as we find out, we are going straight to Babies-r-Us to buy clothes and then to Biaggis for dinner (that is the one restaurant that is not marked on my bad list during my pregnancy). lol It is crazy on the foods that I use to love now I want kept far, far away from me! Some things I crave are: toast w/seedless blackberry jelly on it, glass of organic chocolate milk, peanut butter & jelly, cheese pizza, chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream, apples, grapes, and Donut Bank's blueberry cake donuts! Even before pregnancy, I loved food- especially sweets. However, I loved healthy foods, and would stick to a healthy diet. This is the one time in my life to where I will eat what I want and be merry. I am finally able to work out again (the nausea and body aches let up).. I have had many people tell me that they notice my face is fuller, my hips are wider, or make comments they figured I was pregnant before I told them I was, etc. You know what I say? Who cares?! I am pregnant for crying out loud! I seriously think some people are getting kicks out of seeing me gain weight. Well, there is a precious child growing inside of me- I am going to get fat people! It is okay!!! LOL
One thing that I love to do is read, and by golly I have been gettin' my read on with my Nook. I know that once the baby comes, I will not get all the free time to read. I got a lot of good suggestions on books by friends on facebook and have already read some of them. Also, I have been a mean, clean organizing, decluttering machine! I purchased a label maker, and bought some plastic containers, and have went to town on this house. The only thing we have left to do is move Clint's office furniture and the treadmill into the other bedroom. I already have an empty closet waiting to be filled with liitle clothes :)
I so happy we have no plans this weekend. I had the stomach flu earlier in the week, and then have been battling headaches. I had a migraine last night that was so mean :( Today it is much better. We have been relaxing watching shows on Netflix, and now Clint is watching the football game while I blog :) I am going to get back to the book I am reading :) Hope everyone has a great evening!

Baby!
Well most have seen on my facebook our big news- Baby Ramsey will be here in July 2012! Clint and I are SO excited about being parents! This past week the symptoms have really kicked my booty. Food does not taste the same, I am nauseous majority of the time, and all my energy has been sucked out of me! And I use to have A LOT of energy! lol However, I am not complaining because it is all for a good cause! I am just anxious to find out the gender so I can really start planning :)
Clint and I got to hear the little heart beat on Friday, and it was sooo neat to see that there was a little life inside of me. A few years ago I was the girl who said I am never getting married, nor having kids. Now look at me! And you know what? I am happier now than what I ever was before. I truly feel blessed :)
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving-- I will be working :( Booo!!

Playing Catch Up...
I just realized I have not blogged in awhile. And I told myself I would do better this go round with having one! Last weekend we were in Cincinatti for the Estes wedding. It was a beautiful wedding! We definitely were wore out when we returned on Sunday. But overall, great weekend!
This past week was National Radiology Tech week. Let's just say they fed us very well! Everyday there was something brought in- Hacienda, Angelo's, pizza, bagels, etc. A big thank you to those who helped put everything together for us. I think there was a couple of nights I couldn't even eat supper because I was so full from eating all day at work!
Yesterday we went to my friend Alisha's wedding, then to see my Grandpa Bill. He is still weak and needs lots of prayers! It did make me happy that he started calling me again this past week. For awhile he was too weak to talk on the phone, and if you did get to talk to him he was hard to understand. I was so happy when he started sounding like himself again. Made my heart happy! :)
One thing I forgot about Daviess Co, is that when you go somewhere to eat, you see lots of people you know. We ate at Bobe's last night in Washington (YUM), and I think we knew about 10 of the people in there! lol Btw, Clint and I are still looking for a house back home. Preferrably in the country- the less the neighbors the better! So if you know or see of anything, please contact me!
So I have been seeing on facebook that some people are already getting Christmas decorations out. Due to my cat Lola knocking our tree over last year, I do not want to mess with it. However, Clint insists we have a tree so we are going to look for a pre-lit one today. I am hoping Lola leaves it alone, but well...she is kinda rotten ;)
